Excessive Barking, Barking, Barking...
How Can You Stop The Noise?
Heredity gave dogs voices but there are ways to control most of the sounds that come from canine pets. Dogs in Anderson that bark at the sound of the house's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught your preferred doggy behavior. It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your Anderson door but you should teach them that an OK command from you means you have the situation under control and your dog guardian can stop growling.
Another complaint we hear from pet owners is the barking at objects such as a shovel or rakes. These are all things a canine can learn to live with quietly. Running fence lines and barking at your Anderson neighbors and their dogs should not be tolerated bad dog behavior either. This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your dog from inside the home. It really doesn't take long for them to learn.
Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over 200x better than your hearing. He can hear a squirrel running up a tree. He will respond with his voice. You just need to learn how to teach your dog when it's time to be quiet when they hear the correct signal.
If non-stop dog barking is an issue you would like to correct, please give Frank Allison, dog trainer a call or click to set up an appointment. Frank would be happy to schedule a private session in your Anderson home.
