Heredity gave dogs voices but there are ways to control most of the sounds that come from dogs. Dogs in Tinley Park that bark at the sound of the house's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual. It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your Tinley Park door but you should train them that an "okay" from you means you have the situation under control and your protector can stop making noise.
Another concern we hear from dog owners is the whining at objects such as a broom or tractors. These are all items a dog can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Tinley Park neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable bad dog behavior either. This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild zap collar so you can correct your canine from inside the home. It really doesn't take long for them to learn.
It's important for you to remember that a dog's hearing is over two hundred times better than your hearing. He can hear the sound of a child riding a tricycle several houses away. He will respond with his voice. You just need to learn how to teach your pet when it's time to be quiet when they hear the correct signal.
