How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are steps to control most of the sounds that come from your pet.  Dogs in Steger that bark at the sound of the family's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual.  It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your Steger house but you should teach them that an OK command from you means everything is fine and your dog guardian can stop barking.

Another complaint we hear from pet owners is the barking at objects such as a shovel or tractors. These are all items a pet can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Steger neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable inappropriate dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your dog from inside the house.  This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.

It's important for you to remember that a dog's hearing is over two hundred times better than your hearing.  He can hear the sound of a child riding a tricycle several houses away.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your canine when it's time to be quiet when they hear the correct signal.
