How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are procedures to control most of the sounds that come from dogs.  Dogs in Robbins that bark at the sound of the house's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual.  It is their job to bark when an unknown person comes to your Robbins house but you should train them that an OK command from you means you have the situation under control and your dog guardian can stop growling.

Another concern we hear from pet owners is the barking at objects such as a broom or rakes. These are all items a canine can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Robbins neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable bad dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild zap collar so you can correct your pet from inside the home.  It really doesn't take long for them to learn.

Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over 200x better than your hearing.  He can hear the sound of a child riding a tricycle several houses away.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your pet when it's time to be quiet when they hear the proper command.
