How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are ways to correct most of the sounds that come from dogs.  Dogs in River Forest that bark at the sound of the house's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual.  It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your River Forest door but you should teach them that an OK command from you means everything is fine and your protector can stop barking.

Another concern we hear from dog owners is the barking at objects such as a broom or wheelchairs. These are all things a canine can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your River Forest neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable inappropriate dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild zap collar so you can correct your dog from inside the house.  This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.

Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over 200x better than your hearing.  He can hear the sound of a child riding a tricycle several houses away.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your canine when it's time to be quiet when they hear the proper command.
