Heredity gave dogs voices but there are steps to control most of the sounds that come from canine pets. Dogs in Orland Park that bark at the sound of the house's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught your preferred doggy behavior. It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your Orland Park door but you should train them that an OK command from you means you have the situation under control and your protector can stop making noise.
Another concern we hear from pet owners is the whining at objects such as a shovel or wheelchairs. These are all things a pet can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Orland Park neighbors and their dogs should not be tolerated inappropriate dog behavior either. This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your canine from inside the home. This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.
It's important for you to remember that a dog's hearing is over 200 times better than your hearing. He can hear a squirrel running up a tree. He will respond with his voice. You just need to learn how to teach your canine when it's time to be quiet when they hear the proper command.
If your dog barks too much and this is an issue you would like to correct, please give Frank Allison, dog trainer a call or click to set up an appointment. Frank would be happy to schedule a private session in your Orland Park house.
