Heredity gave dogs voices but there are procedures to correct most of the sounds that come from canine pets. Dogs in Franklin Park that bark at the sound of the family's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught your preferred doggy behavior. It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your Franklin Park door but you should train them that an "okay" from you means everything is fine and your protector can stop growling.
Another complaint we hear from pet owners is the barking at objects such as a shovel or walkers. These are all things a pet can learn to live with quietly. Running fence lines and barking at your Franklin Park neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable inappropriate dog behavior either. This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild zap collar so you can correct your dog from inside the from a distance. This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.
Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over 200 times better than your hearing. He can hear a squirrel running up a tree. He will respond with his voice. You just need to learn how to teach your canine when it's time to be quiet when they hear the proper command.
If your dog's relentless barking is an issue you would like to correct, please give Frank Allison, dog behaviorist a call or click to set up an appointment. Frank would be happy to schedule a private session in your Franklin Park house.
