Heredity gave dogs voices but there are ways to control most of the sounds that come from your pet. Dogs in Crestwood that bark at the sound of the house's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual. It is their job to bark when an unknown person comes to your Crestwood door but you should teach them that an OK command from you means everything is fine and your protector can stop making noise.
Another concern we hear from pet owners is the whining at objects such as a broom or wheelchairs. These are all items a pet can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Crestwood neighbors and their dogs should not be tolerated inappropriate dog behavior either. This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your canine from inside the from a distance. It really doesn't take long for them to learn.
Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over two hundred times better than your hearing. He can hear a squirrel running up a tree. He will respond with his voice. You just need to learn how to teach your pet when it's time to be quiet when they hear the correct signal.
