How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are procedures to control most of the sounds that come from canine pets.  Dogs in Calumet Park that bark at the sound of the family's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual.  It is their job to bark when an unknown person comes to your Calumet Park door but you should train them that an OK command from you means everything is fine and your protector can stop growling.

Another concern we hear from dog owners is the whining at objects such as a broom or tractors. These are all items a pet can learn to live with quietly. Running fence lines and barking at your Calumet Park neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable bad dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your dog from inside the from a distance.  It really doesn't take long for them to learn.

Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over two hundred times better than your hearing.  He can hear a squirrel running up a tree.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your canine when it's time to be quiet when they hear the proper command.
