Heredity gave dogs voices but there are procedures to control most of the sounds that come from dogs. Dogs in Barrington Hills that bark at the sound of the family's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual. It is their job to bark when an unknown person comes to your Barrington Hills house but you should train them that an OK command from you means you have the situation under control and your dog guardian can stop barking.
Another complaint we hear from dog owners is the barking at objects such as a broom or walkers. These are all things a pet can learn to live with quietly. Watching out the window and barking at your Barrington Hills neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable bad dog behavior either. This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your dog from inside the from a distance. It really doesn't take long for them to learn.
Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over two hundred times better than your hearing. He can hear the sound of a child riding a tricycle several houses away. He will respond with his voice. You just need to learn how to teach your dog when it's time to be quiet when they hear the correct signal.
