How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are steps to correct most of the sounds that come from man's best friend.  Dogs in Ottawa that bark at the noise of the family's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual.  It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your Ottawa door but you should teach them that an "okay" from you means you have the situation under control and your dog guardian can stop growling.

Another complaint we hear from pet owners is the barking at objects such as vacuum cleaners or wheelchairs. These are all things a dog can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Ottawa neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable bad dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your canine from inside the from a distance.  It really doesn't take long for them to learn.

It's important for you to remember that a dog's hearing is over 200x better than your hearing.  He can hear the sound of a child riding a tricycle several houses away.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your pet when it's time to be quiet when they hear the correct signal.
