Heredity gave dogs voices but there are ways to correct most of the sounds that come from man's best friend. Dogs in Okauchee that bark at the sound of the family's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught your preferred doggy behavior. It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your Okauchee house but you should train them that an "okay" from you means you have the situation under control and your protector can stop making noise.
Another complaint we hear from pet owners is the whining at objects such as a broom or wheelchairs. These are all things a canine can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Okauchee neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable inappropriate dog behavior either. This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild zap collar so you can correct your dog from inside the house. This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.
Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over 200x better than your hearing. He can hear a squirrel running up a tree. He will respond with his voice. You just need to learn how to teach your pet when it's time to be quiet when they hear the proper command.
If your dog's relentless barking is an issue you would like to correct, please give Frank Allison, dog obedience trainer a call or click to set up an appointment. Frank would be happy to schedule a private session in your Okauchee home.
