How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are ways to correct most of the sounds that come from your pet.  Dogs in Hartland that bark at the sound of the house's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual.  It is their job to bark when an unknown person comes to your Hartland door but you should teach them that an OK command from you means you have the situation under control and your dog guardian can stop barking.

Another complaint we hear from pet owners is the whining at objects such as vacuum cleaners or walkers. These are all items a dog can learn to live with quietly. Watching out the window and barking at your Hartland neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable inappropriate dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild zap collar so you can correct your canine from inside the house.  This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.

Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over two hundred times better than your hearing.  He can hear your car coming from over a block away.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your dog when it's time to be quiet when they hear the correct signal.
