Heredity gave dogs voices but there are procedures to correct most of the sounds that come from canine pets. Dogs in Camp Whitcomb that bark at the sound of the house's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual. It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your Camp Whitcomb door but you should train them that an OK command from you means you have the situation under control and your protector can stop making noise.
Another concern we hear from pet owners is the whining at objects such as a broom or tractors. These are all items a canine can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Camp Whitcomb neighbors and their dogs should not be tolerated inappropriate dog behavior either. This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your pet from inside the house. This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.
It's important for you to remember that a dog's hearing is over two hundred times better than your hearing. He can hear your car coming from over a block away. He will respond with his voice. You just need to learn how to teach your pet when it's time to be quiet when they hear the proper command.
