Heredity gave dogs voices but there are ways to control most of the sounds that come from your pet. Dogs in Lauderdale Shores that bark at the noise of the family's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught your preferred doggy behavior. It is their job to bark when an unknown person comes to your Lauderdale Shores door but you should teach them that an OK command from you means you have the situation under control and your dog guardian can stop growling.
Another concern we hear from pet owners is the barking at objects such as a broom or wheelchairs. These are all things a dog can learn to live with quietly. Watching out the window and barking at your Lauderdale Shores neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable inappropriate dog behavior either. This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your pet from inside the house. This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.
Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over 200 times better than your hearing. He can hear the sound of a child riding a tricycle several houses away. He will respond with his voice. You just need to learn how to teach your canine when it's time to be quiet when they hear the proper command.
