How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are ways to correct most of the sounds that come from dogs.  Dogs in Delavan that bark at the sound of the family's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual.  It is their job to bark when an unknown person comes to your Delavan door but you should train them that an OK command from you means you have the situation under control and your protector can stop growling.

Another concern we hear from pet owners is the whining at objects such as a broom or walkers. These are all things a canine can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Delavan neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable bad dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild zap collar so you can correct your dog from inside the from a distance.  This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.

Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over 200x better than your hearing.  He can hear your car coming from over a block away.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your dog when it's time to be quiet when they hear the correct signal.
