Heredity gave dogs voices but there are steps to control most of the sounds that come from canine pets. Dogs in Rosewood that bark at the noise of the family's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual. It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your Rosewood door but you should teach them that an OK command from you means you have the situation under control and your protector can stop making noise.
Another concern we hear from dog owners is the barking at objects such as a shovel or tractors. These are all items a pet can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Rosewood neighbors and their dogs should not be tolerated bad dog behavior either. This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your pet from inside the from a distance. This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.
Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over two hundred times better than your hearing. He can hear his dog food being taken out of the car truck in the garage. He will respond with his voice. You just need to learn how to teach your dog when it's time to be quiet when they hear the correct signal.
If your dog barks too much and this is an issue you would like to correct, please give Frank Allison, dog trainer a call or click to set up an appointment. Frank would be happy to schedule a private session in your Rosewood house.
