How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are ways to control most of the sounds that come from canine pets.  Dogs in Hickory Haven that bark at the noise of the house's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual.  It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your Hickory Haven house but you should teach them that an "okay" from you means you have the situation under control and your protector can stop growling.

Another complaint we hear from dog owners is the barking at objects such as vacuum cleaners or rakes. These are all things a canine can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Hickory Haven neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable inappropriate dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild zap collar so you can correct your pet from inside the from a distance.  This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.

Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over 200x better than your hearing.  He can hear the sound of a child riding a tricycle several houses away.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your pet when it's time to be quiet when they hear the correct signal.
