How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are ways to control most of the sounds that come from your pet.  Dogs in Browns Lake that bark at the sound of the family's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual.  It is their job to bark when an unknown person comes to your Browns Lake house but you should teach them that an "okay" from you means you have the situation under control and your dog guardian can stop barking.

Another concern we hear from pet owners is the barking at objects such as vacuum cleaners or wheelchairs. These are all items a canine can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Browns Lake neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable bad dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild zap collar so you can correct your canine from inside the from a distance.  This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.

Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over 200 times better than your hearing.  He can hear the sound of a child riding a tricycle several houses away.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your dog when it's time to be quiet when they hear the correct signal.
