How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are steps to control most of the sounds that come from your pet.  Dogs in Port Barrington that bark at the sound of the house's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual.  It is their job to bark when an unknown person comes to your Port Barrington house but you should teach them that an OK command from you means everything is fine and your protector can stop growling.

Another concern we hear from dog owners is the whining at objects such as a shovel or rakes. These are all items a dog can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Port Barrington neighbors and their dogs should not be tolerated bad dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your dog from inside the home.  This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.

Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over 200x better than your hearing.  He can hear a squirrel running up a tree.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your dog when it's time to be quiet when they hear the proper command.
