Heredity gave dogs voices but there are ways to control most of the sounds that come from your pet. Dogs in Cary that bark at the sound of the house's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual. It is their job to bark when an unknown person comes to your Cary door but you should train them that an "okay" from you means everything is fine and your protector can stop growling.
Another concern we hear from pet owners is the whining at objects such as a broom or rakes. These are all items a dog can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Cary neighbors and their dogs should not be tolerated inappropriate dog behavior either. This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your canine from inside the house. This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.
Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over 200 times better than your hearing. He can hear the sound of a child riding a tricycle several houses away. He will respond with his voice. You just need to learn how to teach your canine when it's time to be quiet when they hear the proper command.
