How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are ways to correct most of the sounds that come from dogs.  Dogs in Willow Springs that bark at the noise of the family's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual.  It is their job to bark when an unknown person comes to your Willow Springs house but you should train them that an "okay" from you means you have the situation under control and your dog guardian can stop barking.

Another concern we hear from pet owners is the whining at objects such as vacuum cleaners or tractors. These are all things a pet can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Willow Springs neighbors and their dogs should not be tolerated inappropriate dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your pet from inside the home.  This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.

Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over 200x better than your hearing.  He can hear the sound of a child riding a tricycle several houses away.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your pet when it's time to be quiet when they hear the proper command.
