Heredity gave dogs voices but there are procedures to control most of the sounds that come from canine pets. Dogs in Mallwood that bark at the noise of the house's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual. It is their job to bark when an unknown person comes to your Mallwood door but you should teach them that an "okay" from you means everything is fine and your protector can stop making noise.
Another complaint we hear from dog owners is the whining at objects such as a broom or tractors. These are all items a pet can learn to live with quietly. Watching out the window and barking at your Mallwood neighbors and their dogs should not be tolerated bad dog behavior either. This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your dog from inside the home. This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.
Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over 200 times better than your hearing. He can hear the sound of a child riding a tricycle several houses away. He will respond with his voice. You just need to learn how to teach your dog when it's time to be quiet when they hear the correct signal.
