How Can You Stop The Noise?

Heredity gave dogs voices but there are steps to correct most of the sounds that come from dogs.  Dogs in Mount Pleasant that bark at the noise of the house's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual.  It is their job to bark when an unknown person comes to your Mount Pleasant house but you should teach them that an OK command from you means everything is fine and your dog guardian can stop making noise.

Another concern we hear from pet owners is the whining at objects such as a broom or rakes. These are all items a pet can learn to live with quietly. Running the property lines and barking at your Mount Pleasant neighbors and their dogs is not acceptable bad dog behavior either.  This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your dog from inside the house.  This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.

Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over 200 times better than your hearing.  He can hear your car coming from over a block away.  He will respond with his voice.  You just need to learn how to teach your dog when it's time to be quiet when they hear the proper command.
