Heredity gave dogs voices but there are steps to correct most of the sounds that come from man's best friend. Dogs in Bull Valley that bark at the sound of the family's doorbell or a knock on the door need to be taught a greeting ritual. It is their job to bark when a stranger comes to your Bull Valley house but you should train them that an "okay" from you means you have the situation under control and your dog guardian can stop barking.
Another concern we hear from dog owners is the barking at objects such as a broom or tractors. These are all things a dog can learn to live with quietly. Watching out the window and barking at your Bull Valley neighbors and their dogs should not be tolerated inappropriate dog behavior either. This "distance" barking can be corrected through training sometimes needing a mild shock collar so you can correct your dog from inside the home. This unacceptable dog behavior can be corrected in a short period of time.
Most importantly, you must remember that a dog's hearing is over two hundred times better than your hearing. He can hear the sound of a child riding a tricycle several houses away. He will respond with his voice. You just need to learn how to teach your dog when it's time to be quiet when they hear the proper command.
